If I could give lower than 1 I would. We were attempting to help my daughter with her first car buying experience. I went on line requesting quotes on a Kia Niro LX.
He said they had fired Linda and they didn't know where she got that price from, and he still thought it was completely honest and ethical to withhold the price until after he ran the credit check. We left at this point, but not before I mentioned social media and the Better Business Bureau.
We asked for Linda and was told she had left early. We started with one salesman, then another came out to help us. We were asked how much Linda had quoted us, and we told them $23,000. We were told that they didn't know if they could do that, but they would do what they could. We went for a test drive and came back and started the paperwork. We assumed it was on $23,000. They ran the credit check. Our salesman didn't return. Another employee we assumed to be a manager brought the payment options on $25,400. We said no it was suppose to be $23,000. He said he couldn't sell it for that, because that would be a loss. We asked why he didn't tell us this before he ran the credit and started the paperwork. Answer: I told you I would do the best I could. Needless to say it got ugly from there.

I have been lied to by salesmen before but never so boldly. The sales manager came out before we could leave and asked for 5 minutes, but he still was over $24,000, not that I would recommend her buying a car from a dealership that condones such unethical and dishonest behavior.

I received a call from Linda with Renaldo Kia in Shelby, NC. She asked for the specifics of what we were looking for. I told her we were price shopping for a charcoal gray LX. Per Linda, they did not have the charcoal gray LX, but they could make us a great deal on a Blue EX. She gave me all the options and the stock number so we could look it up. She quoted a price of $23,000. The closest price we had was $22,998 for a silver. My daughter liked the blue, so we drove from Rock Hill to Shelby.
